With the Voice Memos app built into your iPhone, you can easily record and share audio recordings. This tutorial will show you how to use Voice Memos to create your first voice recording.
There is no limit to the recording capacity of Voice Memos. You can record audio as long as you have enough storage on your iPhone.

Record audio on iPhone with the Voice Memos app
To record your first audio on your iPhone, use the Voice Memos app.
Invoice Memos, tap the red button at the bottom to record.
Your iPhone is recording audio using its built-in microphone. You can sing, record a song, take notes, or say whatever you like. Your iPhone is listening.
When you're done, and want to end the recording, tap on the red button at Voice Memos.
Your audio recording has been saved to the app. Tap the recording to play it. Next, tap the play icon.
This is how to record voice on your iPhone, without having to use a third-party application. You can quickly launch Voice Memos from Control Center if you use it often.

Rename Voice Recordings on iPhone
You might name your recordings to make them easily identifiable.
To do this, go to Voice Memos and tap the recording that you wish to rename.
Tap your current recording name to edit it. Next, type a new recording name and hit Enter.
Your recording now uses the newly-specified name.
Record a Voice on iPhone
Voice Memos recordings can be shared using the iPhone's standard sharing menu. You can also share your recordings via the Files app and Google Drive.
To access the share menu, open Voice Memos by tapping the recording you wish to share.
Tap the three dots at the bottom-left corner.
Select "Share ."

Your iPhone's standard sharing menu will open. Select the location where you would like to share your recording.

Delete a Voice Recording from an iPhone
If you don't need a recording of your voice, you can delete one or more recordings in Voice Memos.
To do this, open Voice Memos by tapping "Edit" at the top-right corner.
Select the audio recordings that you wish to delete.
In Voice Memos' bottom-right corner, tap "Delete."
Voice memos will move the selected recordings to "Recently deleted" folder. The recordings will stay here for 30 days after which they will be permanently removed.
If you'd like to get rid of your recordings permanently without them staying for another 30 days, then tap the "Recently Deleted" folder on Voice Memos' main screen.
Tap "Edit ."
" in the upper-right corner of "Recently Deleted".
Select recordings to be deleted, then tap the bottom-right corner and tap "Erase ."
Tip: If you'd like to restore your deleted audio recordings, then tap the "Recover" option instead.
From the menu that appears, choose "Erase Recording ."
Warning: You cannot restore your recordings once they are permanently deleted. Make sure you really want to delete them before tapping "Erase Recording."
Your recordings have been deleted.
